Join Durham Mayor Bill Bell for a conversation with city officials, the Durham Housing Authority, nonprofit leaders and Durham landlords about affordable housing.
Last year, feedback from landlords prompted the Durham Housing Authority to since streamline the lease-up process and nonprofits to better support voucher-holding tenants to end their homelessness.
This year, we would like to continue the conversation. Since then, what progress have we made, and what challenges do we continue to face? How can we better support voucher-holders and landlords? What will it take from the Durham Housing Authority, non-profit leaders and Durham landlords to end homelessness in Durham?
Join Durham Mayor Bill Bell for a conversation with city officials, the Durham Housing Authority, nonprofit leaders, and Durham landlords about the Unlocking Doors Initiative!
Over the past few months, key stakeholders have been working together to streamline the lease-up process and offer comprehensive support to landlords who accept vouchers. These housing vouchers, held by veterans, families, and individuals who need a home, have the potential to infuse an additional $2.3 million of already-allotted federal money into our community.
We’d love for you to join the conversation about how this initiative and our Housing Authority can best work with you moving forward.
